Tricky city centre job made to look plain sailing by Wye Valley Demolition team

WYE VALLEY Demolition often undertake interesting jobs and one such example was the dismantling of a tusk and sail piece of artwork in Bristol’s Haymarket shopping district this month.

The job, over four nights, came with several demolition challenges, mainly working at height, working with cranes, and hot works.

The space was very limited and traffic management also took some thought, as it was a city centre location.

However, working for main contractor Alun Griffiths, along with Bristol City Council, the team produced another successful outcome.

Demolition was completed safely and in within the timeframe – no mean feat when working overnight. Well done to the boys on site and to all those involved.
