Operational leadership team strengthened

WYE VALLEY Demolition (WVD) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ashley Davies as its new Project Manager, marking an exciting chapter for the company as it continues to strengthen its operational leadership team.

With a proven track record in the demolition and construction sectors, Ashley brings a wealth of experience and a proactive approach to project management.

His appointment reflects WVD’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

“I’m absolutely delighted to step into the role of Project Manager at Wye Valley Demolition,” said Ashley. “This is a fantastic opportunity to build on the company’s strong reputation for excellence while ensuring our projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

I’m particularly excited about working closely with our supervisors and clients to develop effective, forward-thinking solutions that add value at every stage of the process.”

Ashley has been with Wye Valley Demolition over 13 years and this is a natural progression for the man who was given no chance of succeeding at school.

“The lesson, I suppose, is don’t believe everything you are told. When I left school in 2005, I was told I would be jobless and would achieve nothing,” said Ashley.

“I didn’t even turn up to do some GCSE’s because it wasn’t for me. I fell into construction, and found that I loved it.”

In his new role, Ashley will play a pivotal part in both tender development and contract delivery.

His role is a far cry from the starting point of his career.

Ashley added: “I started off as a general labourer and soft stripper. Then I was a general

operative, learned to become a machine driver, then progressed to a site supervisor

and finally a site manager.

“Now I’m about to begin this new role, which I am very excited about.

“It just goes to show that Sue (Howell), Andrew (Howell), and the company have supported me right the way up. I can’t thank them enough for the support, training and confidence they

have given me, which has enabled me to progress.”

As he underlined, Ashley’s appointment also supports WVD’s ongoing emphasis on training and professional development and he has the long-term goal of achieving IDE accreditation.

“Having someone of Ashley’s calibre join our management team is a real boost for Wye Valley Demolition,” said director Alastair Moulton.

“His proactive style, attention to detail, and dedication to building strong client and team relationships will help us continue to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.”

With his combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and vision, Ashley is set to play a key role in WVD’s next phase of growth.
